Andrew Flakelar has spent most of his career working in New York, but has now returned to his home town of Sydney, Australia.

His passion for visually dynamic narrative storytelling has been the driving force behind campaigns for Audi, Philips, Converse, Google and music videos for Scottish trio CHVRCHES, Jewel, James Blunt and television projects with the Oprah, Madonna, Alicia Keys, David Blaine, Cindy Crawford and Jay-Z.

An avid conversationalist and raconteur, his skills as an interviewer add another dimension to his cinematic storytelling, whether with high profile celebrities or man on the street. His skill in drawing out story beats and brand messaging with authenticity, emotion and connection forges a deeper connection between subject and viewer.

His emotive short documentary The Art of Boxing has screened internationally, including the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles, the Montreal International Black Film Festival, the Bronx International Film Festival and won Best Cinematography at the Bondi Short Film Festival in Sydney, Australia.
